Sei Basses

Matthew, I think you have to call yourself a lute player rather than a bass player with an instrument like that! Quite outrageous ~ you've even got more strings than Steve (Lawson), and no frets, so you can get all those 'in between' notes as well! What a lovely thing. Unfortunately I don't think I have the brain or fingers to do such a creation justice ~ harps and angels come to mind. I expect to see you accompanying the celestial choir. G4

Nick, do you have any other photos of your singlecut sixer? I'd be interested to see a straight-on view of the whole bass if possible.

Hi David

Here is the pic you asked for, apologies for the sun flash I didn't have time to retake it. I did take a body close up too.
Rats .... I just noticed that I dislodged the d string when I was arranging the bass ....... sorry ! :hmm:

Cheers

Thanks Nick. She's a beauty alright!

You'll have to post a "family photo" of all your basses sometime! :D

Hi David

I'll have to get me one of them panoramic cameras :D

Thanks for the kind words. I think Martin really excelled himself on that bass. The top turned out very well, but then it took sooooo long to choose it. Some of you guys will know how Martin has always got just one more piece of wood to show you when it all seemed decided !!
