Hey Largo - Lucky looks awesome. I don't do the Jazz thing myself but that looks great. I saw the neck when I was last at the Gallery and the blocked inlays look very cool .

Rusty. Where's the whammy man :D. Interesting spec, looking forward to progress in due course.

Me - well, I've got about 50% movement in my wrist now and I'm finally able to make some noise :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:. I'm getting there and should be starting physio next month with a bit of luck.

I'm a new build!

No updates as it's still all in the very early stages.

I have come up with this (well, my brother did) to engrave onto the elec. compartment.

What do you think? And for those who know more about engraving than me - how feasible is it? I'm not sure on dimensions yet but no bigger than 1.5 inches across .

My initials are A.S.H. and the body will be made out of ash. Kind of cheesy I know, but I thought it might be a nice touch to personalise the bass.

Well I got a build in progress :)

This is very much the sister Sei to my baby - 5 1/2 months in now and decide on no photos till delivery. Don't really know what state it's in at the moment as I'm far more relaxed about this build. It'll be ready when it's ready.

KCOBLE

Welcome to the thread and I congratulate you on a very teasing first post. ;)

I think you should share a little more about the build which if I am not mistaken is the 6th of the run of 10 Millenium and the 1st 7 string of that model.

Is this your first Sei, I suspect not, and what made you choose the Millenium? Also can you give a run down of the full specs and build time etc.

All information gratefully received.:D

Regards

matthew

Hi Matthew,

Please see page 35 for pictures... as for specs, thuya full facing and back on wenge body, ebony board.

Im still to decide pups, but prob go for barts with some pre, can anyone give a basic lowdown on them? Martin said it would be good with shack... but what else sounds good?

5 string headless, black hardware - simplicity.

At last I have some time to post something!

Firstly a very warm and very belated welcome to KCOBLE. The Millennium basses are beautiful and I also think yours must be the first 7 string of that model. I suspect we all agree with Matthew in requesting more information please.

Aidan, very arty initials there! Are you thinking about a metal compartment cover (you post talked about "engraving")? If so I would check with Martin soon, as I cannot remember seeing a SEI bass with anything other than a wooden cover cut from the actual back facing on the bass. Also don't forget that this type of customising might make the bass harder to sell if you decide to at some point in the future (no matter how inconceivable it might seem right now).

Finally, on the current build front there is the SEI 8 nearing completion (back from the finishers and hopefully just a few weeks to go now)...:hyper: :bassist: :hyper:

Here you go you sei junkies..... looks fab, Martin says its going on the website.

Going for shack and kent armstrongs... WOOOPP
