Self-Contained, Custom-Built Stage/Trailer Finally Complete

Our band has been around since the mid 1980's. I've been with the band since the early/mid 90's. And, every year, we have a reunion for the band, and it's ex-members, where the public is invited to attend. Well, this year, it was a bit more special. Throughout the band's history, we've always kept a band bank account. And, at times, we get so much money in it (We play 48 weeks out of the year), that we don't know quite what to do, or buy with all this money. I mean, we already have some of the best gear that money can buy. Well, this year, we solved that spending problem by having a company out of Georgia, build us a custom, self-contained band stage/trailer. This new trailer has opened up a whole new world of bookings for us, as far as getting higher pay goes. I really haven't had the chance to take any detailed pictures of the inside yet, where all of our rack gear resides.

We now actually have 3 complete, high-end P.A. systems that consists of Renkus Heinz, EAW, Crown, JBL, QSC, Presonus, etc., etc. One for the stage/trailer, that stays assembled/set up (drums, guitar amps stay permanently set up, too!), and already mixed. We just basically wheel our P.A. cabs out, outside lighting, confetti blower, flame throwers (YES, flame throwers!!!), and just plug n' play. It's all up, and running in around 20-25 minute's time. Then, we have our club P.A., which is for INSIDE bookings. And, last, but certainly not least, is our full P.A. that we have set up in our practice space. It sure makes for much easier gigs/practice sessions as we get older, too. Lol.

Here's a picture of the outside of the stage/trailer. More detailed pics to come......

It's very special that you have been able to maintain that level of musicianship for that long with your band, especially with that kind of money involved, congratulations. Your trailer/stage is beautiful.

wow.....talk about self contained......awesome.......a rolling money making machine.

Exactly. And, we're from a small, poor town in the southern coalfields, here in WV. And, the opportunities haven't really stopped, to be honest. Take tonight, for instance. We're playing at the grand opening of a local indoor/outdoor BBQ joint. And, they're definitely paying more than the clubs do. So, I could only imagine what something like this would do in a higher population area. We've always been pretty popular in the southern part of the state, and we've always been known to do a lot of charity work. So, we'll definitely be lookin' to do more work like that, too.

That really is awesome.

Is the hand railing around the front of the stage necessary or can it be removed?

It looks like the backline would be lower than those up front or am i seeing it wrong?

To be honest, it's not a problem at all. The 2 main vocalists in our band, the guitarist, and keyboard player, stand out front. And, 3 of us, drums, bass, percussion/horns/vocalist are located where the backline is. I had my concerns about having enough space. But, we all have plenty of room. As for the railing, it is removable. It simply drops down into some slots when installing.

To make the most of our space where the backline is, we have our vocal mics, hanging from multi-hinged mic booms that are mounted to the roof bracing. It's actually a pretty ingenious idea that our guitarist (surprise, surprise!!!) came up with. It REALLY makes the most of all the space.

This is one is awesome.

Uhh, I believe we found our winner, folks..... Wow. What a setup. That has to cost up high in the 6 figure range. The P.A. speaker setup/storage is genius, and expensive! I kinda wish we would've had them build it like that, so BOTH sides (front/back of the stage) would let down. Oh, well. Hindsight is always 20/20, ain't it......

Any problems with boomy feedback being in an enclosed space?

The hanging boom mics is a great idea. I can see it in the shot with the sax player. I'm very envious.

To be honest, I truly don't recall hearing even a hint of feedback yet. Yeah, the mic booms wasn't my idea:crying::crying:. But, it's definitely one of the coolest features of the whole thing.

Okay, this is gettin' a little outta hand here. I'm just a guy from a little hick town in WV. Lol. That is awesome. Can't compete with Red Bull. But, I would take a Red Bull Ferrari.....
Yeah, Redbull has a pretty nice budget for this kind of thing. Probably well into $6 digits for this thing. Your Rig looks pretty awesome to.
Side note, That was by far the most unnecessarily loud gig I ever played. We played two days in a row at a Redbull rampage moto event, On Saturday to several thousand people at stadium volume levels was OK but nobody could get 50ft from the stage without hearing damage. The Friday night show was at the same volume but only to a couple hundred people who camped out the night before. We asked the sound man several times to turn it down but he was enjoying his toy to much.
