Sell or worth keeping

I have two old Marshall 2x15 speakers that I bought a long time ago that are just collecting dust. One of them has been refurbished and one is original gear. I also bought a Sunn Coliseum Bass head that just sits there also. Are these worth keeping at all or getting rid of?

All right I edited the post a little bit. I'm just looking for some information on these items to see if they're worth holding on to. There's not much I can find online and when I search the Marshall JCM 800 I keep getting guitar amplifiers.

If you're not playing them, then what would be the point in keeping them? I concur with this:

The stuff has some value, if not a lot. I can imagine a bass player in a certain kind of band being interested those Marshall cabs, especially. In searching for price comparisons, maybe just search on "Marshall bass speakers" or "Marshall bass cabinets" rather than for the JCM800 model...the JCM800 IS a legendary guitar head.

Heavy, old equipment is NOT appreciating. I picked up an SVT 8X10 cabinet that was like new for $450 a few years ago; I'd probably get it even cheaper today. Also, the Marshall name does not have the appeal to bass players that it has to guitarists. They will continue to deteriorate sitting around in your garage. Just my opinion, but the longer you wait, the less they are going to be worth. Cut your losses, reclaim space in your garage, get them out of your hair.

I think that's one of the best answers so far. Just checking to see if I had anything noteworthy, pun intended.

Would I be better off going through Guitar Center to sell, or something local like Craigslist?

Where are you located? Maybe someone knows a good store in your area to sell musical equipment without getting scalped too badly. I know there's a lot of hate here for Craigslist, but I've always had pretty good luck buying and selling on it. If you take it to Guitar Center I'd be surprised if you walked away with $300 for everything.

Keep them if you want the 4x15 Marshall full stack of 80’s awesome. Sell them if you never use them and they are just taking up (a lot) of space.

Values are what someone will pay for them. Not a lot of comparables to really set a price. Start somewhere and drop the price a bit each week until they sell.

The big heavy cabs have definitely fallen out of favor by most players, but some still use/collect them.

I would just sell them all and then go from there.
BTW The Sunn head isn't that great sounding. (I had a couple of them and once you go passed 7, they distorted and would loose power)
Just more of a collectors item if anything, imho

It might be worth keeping, but not really worth selling. Confounding but possibly true :confused:.

Probably a nice sounding rig if you want an old school rock sound, but big and heavy. These days, most players are into compact and light weight. So selling may not be easy or lucrative.

If your not going to play them, donate or sell them. You're probably going to want to dispose of the cabs locally as the amount they will sell for is unlikely to justify the expense or hassle involved with shipping them. You might consider parting out the EVM and Powercel drivers and donating the cabs.

If the head is in good working order, you may come out with some cash in your pocket on it after shipping.

People in the know will pay what those JCM800 cabs are worth - but you might have to wait a long time for them to find you. Up to you whether or not you'd rather just cave to the lowballers who will kick around in the meantime.

Find them a good home, cause they're savage. If my metal bands were as active as I wish they were I might even be in the market.
