One thing I've had happen (minor but still annoying) was buying an item on ebay that shipped from the U.S. and realized once I got it that it wasn't from the U.S. at all! I ordered an XLR cable and when it arrived, it had been re-packaged in the US but actually came from China. And I mean it shipped from there, not just that it was made there. They simply placed a new address label over the old one and re-shipped it from a US address. On top of which, the cable was a cheap one that had a hard plastic-like coating unlike the nice digiflex looking one in the picture. No where near the quality of even the cheap ones a local music store would have. Got my money back but was still annoying to see the dishonesty displayed by the seller.
