    Hey,

I recently bought an old "Selmer Twin Bass 30" off a friend for $30, no idea who selmer are. Anyone know anything about these amps, how good they are?, are they worth anything in good condition?

any reply would be appreciated thnx

Ah, the Selmer twin. :crying: Back in the day (The 60's) in England at least, guitarists either had a Vox AC30 or a Selmer. I believe it was the twin but could have had another name. The one I knew had the same configuration as an AC30. And a few people who could afford them of course had fenders. If I recall correctly, the Selmers were a slightly poor relative but were still considered substantial. They tended to have a few more sounds in the reverb/trem category. I always assumed they were British made but I could be wrong... I was once before!

I would doubt they are worth the same as a similar aged Vox but, as always, check it out on eBay. I can see a collector wanting one but I wouldn't waste the space in my studio!
