Alright so I was in a little hole in the wall music shop today, and saw this baby. Guy said he'd let it go for $600. What can you tell me about these basses and is it worth it for the price?

It's not a Selmick; it's a Samick. I don't know the quality of the bass personally, but I have a sense of the market, and $600 is way too high for that bass (edit: if you are in the United States especially). I saw a used one on ebay go for half that.

Woah my bad about the name. I was just talking to someone about Selmer sax's so I guess I mixed the two!

Now, if it were a Selmer Mark VI or VII sax we're talking about for $600...buy buy buy.
