Semi-new Bassist from Hawaii

I've been playing guitar for awhile and have played bass off and on, but I've decided to jump in and take on bass head on! I just purchased my first "real" bass; a G&L JB and I love it! This weekend I'm going to go check out amps with an eye on the Fender Rumble 500 2x10 combo. I look forward to learning all I can about the world of Bass here and eventually start gigging as a bassist!
