Sequential Circuits Drumtraks...

...is awesome, right? Those tones!! DSI has to be what I've been loving from M83 at least since Saturdays = Youth, (Midnight City toms?) and more recently from CHVRCHES. Dang, their record is cool. Buy their music guys.

I made the discovery today that both the Drumtrak and the Six-Trak exist, and I feel like I've been deceived my whole life!! (OK, I was probably 10 when they came out, so not really...) Here I've been thinking the Tempest and the lower number oscillator DSI synths are new ideas, and (they are new ideas but) they are new insights on 30-year-old ideas. So cool!! I love that guy. I guess there isn't much of a purpose to this thread other than to share geek excitement with those that can relate.

So none of you guys outbid me at the last second if I see this stuff on eBay!! (There are a couple of Drumtraks, and they aren't a ton of money, actually...)
 
I've owned most of the Sequential hardware products from the old days, and they were some of my favorites. You want to hear some crazy cool use of the Drumtraks, check out Quintron.
