Serial Numbers for musicman sterling

(this is probably beating a dead horse) but I have a musicman sterling that I bought a year or 2 ago new from Guitar Center and some f*ck face is telling me it's one that was made in Indonesia/korea, when it clearly says made in USA on the back of the headstock and I bought it before the Idonesia/korea ones came out. I went on the EBMM site and saw product registration but I don't want to type in my full name and address on a website. If there is anyway to find the place of origin please let me know.

On the EB forum site, you can go into a serial # data base, list your serial number and check it in a day or two. Someone will reply identtifyng what year it was made in.

If the words "Made in San Luis Obispo CA" are printed on it then it is genuine (I don't think GC will knowingly sell you a fake)
