Double Bass "Series 2" vs "Series 3" Acoustic Image CONTRA amp?

Hi, I've just found a "series 2" AI Contra amp in good condition for sale where I live. It's 6 years old and half the price of a new "series 3" AI amp. I'll try it soon.

What are the differences between the two series? Are they important? Is it the sound or something else that is different?

The primary differences is the use of a combination jack for 1/4" or XLR inputs, higher power (about double), mute switch, lighter weight, smaller, pre- and post-EQ choices for DI output...
