series/parallel pot/blend/tone?

Swap the first and second terminals around on the volume pot.

I've never seen a bass wired that way. It might not work out so well, but I think you would have to try it to find out.
The main problem is that the blend introduces a series resistance to the pickup's output as you adjust it in series mode.

That diagram allows wiring for the blend pot to remain functional in series mode. The one I posted bypasses the blend in series.

Yes and no.

The third pole of the switch is to bypass the blend pot in series mode. A DPDT switch for standard series/parallel switching will not allow you to do that. This means that if the blend is turned toward the bridge pickup, it will reduce the output like a volume pot.
