If I want to connect my jazz bass like a pb bass, does the neck pickup negative go to the bridge pick-up negative? Then the bridge positive to ground?

I've done the same to a number of two-pickup basses; J/J's, P/J's and a J/MM. It is a very worthwhile mod to make and one that doesn't cost a lot.Seymour Duncan has a good diagram using a push-pull Potentiometer to switch between series/parallel. I've done this mod and find it worthwhile.
That guy has some "creative" naming schemes for those wiring harnesses! If you want something a little different and fairly simple to install, Jeremy at Short Circuit Electronics makes a number of cool variations on two-pickup systems. Agree. Jeremy make some quality stuff. He mad a harness for my 2 pickup build that I absolutely love. 3 position pickup selector, volume and tone. The volume is push/pull for series/parallel. Highly recommend.Jeremy at Short Circuit Electronics makes a number of cool variations on two-pickup systems. (re: I've installed two "Heresy" harnesses and they are neat lil' things!)
Thanks for this, I'll save a copyTo do series/parallel you must have a switch in the circuit.
Series would be white from one pick-up to tip of jack, black from that PU to white on second PU, black on second PU to sleeve.
Parallel would be both whites to tip, both blacks to sleeve.
