We're amazing but biological beings. The internal wiring has no warranty.

I have neuropathy in my left heel and whenever I'm learning a new part of any song, my left hand fingers will go numb. Guitar or bass.

I've checked my posture on this & it don't matter. Once I woodshed the part enough, it goes away.

The neuropathy was partially caused by chemo meds, spinal compression could also be a culprit.

Physics of being in one's 60's, in spite of a decent workout regiment only gives me gumption.

Hope he can beat this so he can have a career on his terms.

I’ve seen Brian live a couple of times and was continually blown away at what a great guitar player he is. He can play rockabilly but he can also play big time jazz with big chord voices and perfect phrasing. His sound is phenomenal too.
I sincerely hope he is able to recover so he can keep on making great music

Phill Collins is also in a similar situation of inability to perform. Such performers seen in debilitating states is sad. I hope they have good days, maybe with kids & pets, decent coffee.

Their work still inspires.

I'd read about this elsewhere, a sad situation.

I've never seen him play live but from what I have seen of him he's a great player and a good guy.

Sending some good thoughts to him for a good recovery. Even at my talent level I can't imagine not being able to play.

My heart goes out to him, both because I grew up with and love his music, and being someone who's also been battling autoimmune issues myself for years. I hope he's able to get some good support and treatment, if it's available

Autoimmune diseases are certainly very poorly understood. I was almost killed twice by lupus before even getting a proper diagnosis. It wrecked my hands and left me riddled with nerve damage throughout my whole body.

I’m not saying what I did is a cure, or would work broadly, but I have beat the lupus and healed over 98% of my symptoms. Just a tiny bit of neuropathy remains, and it continues to improve.

If anyone here is suffering and wants my regimen, just PM me.

The situation for Brian improved, they released a new single and were set to tour, then something happened with him, unexplained, so the shows were cancelled…
