Hi, everybody! I am tormented by a choice problem, what sound pickups to put on my Spector Euro 4LX-TW. What to expect from a sound of those and other sound pickups? Onbord pream is Darkglass Tone Capsule.

Well, I am sort of biased, but I always loved all 3 tones of the NYCs. Each one is really usable, and if you have 2 of them in a bass, you have a ton of options.

More natural and not such evil sound as at EMG is necessary. Now costs Tone Capsule Darkglass. I can't decide to put Seymour or Aguilar...

NYCs sound more open, DCBs are darker, NYCs would be my choice.

I really wish Aguilar would ship their humbuckers 4-conductor.
There's a lot of possibilities missed with only a single option.

I pretty much setup the same circuit as a $$ on everything, but swap the preamp for something with a mid control and a stacked bass/treble. If it has a sweepable mid that's stacked, otherwise push pull mid pot for preamps that have a selectable preset.

Series-single-parallel for the pickups.

You might end up drilling a couple holes for dip switches, but the Spector Sarzo doesn't look weird with them.

I installed the NYC's in my Jackson concert bass. Ran them passive with 2 volumes, 1 tone and 2 3 way switches. Easily sounds world's better than the stock emg Hz did. I'd agree all 3 times sound great. Made this a real go to bass.

If your pickups are that size in the video, they should be emg 35 sized. Everybody makes every soapbar pickup in that size. It's a standard. You should check out what nordstrand has. Or consider all your other options as well. Not just humbuckers. I say explore a bit and you'll find what you like.
