Depends if you like the tone as it is, or prefer the original....its up to you what you "should" do....or not...
If you plan on selling it, it wod be easier to sell in its original configuration.

If the original pickup is the ceramic version I would put it back in, but I prefer ceramic to alnico.

Personally I like the SD pickups better than the Stingray pickups but there are so many factors involved that the only way of finding it is trying different configurations.
