SG & EB Bass Club

Even though not a true Gibson SG, the body shape was inspired on it.

I made this as a sort of tribute to the SG.
Kept a build diary here on TalkBass.

This is absolutely stunning both as art and as an instrument!

Hey blab - I followed this build and was very impressed with how it came out. That's some really sweet looking wood on that body! Being able to build your own pro quality basses really opens up a lot of options for a left handed player! So now that you've had it a while is there anything you would have done differently?

The option are limitless, the only thing that might be hindering me is my imagination, but so far that hasn't been a problem.:D

The only thing I would probably do different now is moving the bridge parts a little further down the body.

I realty like that walnut color. If I get a second SG, it will be that color.

Thanks! I'm thinking if I were to get a second it would be Cherry Red. Such a great colour on a bass.

Gigged mine this morning. Sounded good backing two acoustic guitars and a piano. It's wearing LaBella flats which paradoxically makes a fairly versatile bass.
