I'll second that!
I have a lot of very nice basses but this is the only one that I'm specifically planning on getting a second one of. It just plays so effortlessly and sounds so good in the mix I want to be sure to have one available strung in rounds and one in flats or tapes.

They are called lawsuit models, because Ibanez was forced to stop the production by Gibson.
That's why they are kind of rare. Ibanez produced a longscale with open headstock and a shortscale with a closed headstock.

Mine has a bolt on neck, the body's and necks had some variaton in types of wood and the way they were glued from blocks or more sandwich like.
The one on my previous post only has an original body and neck, the bridge, bridge pickup & neck pickup and tuners are replacement parts.
And the lacquer and scratch plate are done by myself.
I bought it as a sanded off bass without electronics, the previous owner had used those for his double bass.

How are you feeling about the quarter rounds? I'm not sure if I'm going to get a pair of chromes,or the new Ernie Ball slinky Flatts
