I'm working on 54 years with a bass hanging from my neck. 52 Of those years with a SG body bass. Sure doesn't seem that long.

They have to be appreciated to have a thread, and you all have done a fantastic job of that!
I like to sit back and see the club progress with members bringing out the best of themselves, and go from there.
It may sound stupid, but there is something I've always loved about SG body basses, and six stringers both. Awarding numbers for this club, is something I'm glad to be able to do. If I miss anyone who wishes to be inducted into the club, please let me know.

The "fakey" wide-range on the Modern Player basses are still super hot. I put a '70s bent plate on the butterscotch one because no amount of adjustment could get the action right. I never noticed a lack of sound from these pickups, even with the bridges soloed they are so hot there's no volume loss. I still think the Epiphones and Gibsons are hotter still and have a real different sound even though it IS similar. I'm not an either/or type of player...they all have a time and a place but I real dig the EB/SG for the heavy stuff~
Agreed on the Epi/Gibson Humbuckings. The Sidewinder pup on my EB-0, has a better overall sound than most Gibson neck Humbuckings, I've messed with lately.
Any recommendations for a gig bag for my Epi EB-0? Just something simple to keep her nice while in my car.
I'm looking for something fashioned for short scale. (If possible. )
If you are willing to drive up to NEPA, I'll give you an almost new Epiphone hard case for free. My basses came here in a double gigbag so I have some cases left over...

Thanks for the generous offer. I actually have a (generic) HSC that I bought several years back for my Jag SS. It is currently sitting in our storage unit.
Someone else here who might use a HSC (and maybe is a little closer to you) should take you up on the offer.
I'm sure this will be of no help, but I, too, have been looking for an EB-0 specific gig bag. Nope. Back to the generic HSC.

I turn the bass pot up to near 10 though along with ulta hi switch on and treble control also near full, I leave the mid switch in the middle and add or subtracts mids. I will also sometimes leave the ultra low switch in the middle along the treble as before and just subtract mids. I do that udually with a pick and a mute. I use swingbass so to get them dounding like flats I use the mute.
