Nice! Even nicer with the Hipshot SuperTone bridge! Replacing the stock oil derrick bridge with a SuperTone was the first change I made when I bought a new 2013 faded cherry SG in 2014 from Sweetwater for $599 (!), the second being restringing it with La Bella DTFs. It's still a keeper, 10 years later!
What year is yours?
2015. It's a stock Babicz bridge. And strung with Chromes it sounds thick and awesome.

I should have viewed the pic full size. I saw it wasn't an oil derrick and made an assumption. Sigh. I knew that there were a couple/three years when Gibson used the Babicz bridge before going back to the floating bridge. I almost asked. Should have. My failing eyesight bit me in the patootie again.

I wore out 2 vinyl copies of Prologue before it was released on CD. That album is as good today as it was back them.And now for something completely different...

TBT, I vastly prefer the original version of the band with the Relf siblings and Jim McCarty, but have massive respect for both Ms. Haslam and Jon Kemp...
My modded '68 EB0 > EB3 added a DeArmond bridge pup in '71.
First "real" name bass bought used. Had been de-fretted - really sloppy.
Parents bought it for me when I entered high school and was getting more serious into music joining Stage Band and Jazz Choir.
This picture was from my first "pro" band HS '72 playing covers every weekend at Jr Hi-High Schools across WA state = Union agency band. (UNICAM)
Bass was stolen at New Years Eve party '75. Returned in pieces. Unsalvagable.
Replaced '77 by a new fretless Ripper. Still gets played daily.

I was looking at pics I have of mij sg style basses, and I noticed that all, except one, had dark fretboards, rosewood mostly I guess. And that led me to this vid of a what is said to be a 1976 Aria, although Aria had become Aria Pro II in late 75. I saw something similar in a 1972 Aria catalogue, the 1920 model, but it has a dark fretboard. See vid here

Anyhow, the lighter fretboard in the vid, which I assume is maple, leads me to the question, Were any Gibson EB-0's or EB-3's produced with maple fretboards?
