Hey there. If anyone is watching this thread, do you know how to run the serials on these basses? I had heard that the first two numbers were the year it was manufactured. But the first two numbers on mine are 27...
It says it was made in Japan but I don’t have the model # sticker on it anymore. I think it may be an SB301.
I don’t have a good one right now. I’ll post a picture of both when I get home tonight.Yes, the year should be the first two numbers but of course 27 would not work... Have you got a picture of the number & bass?

Curious why it's so hard to find any information on these guitars?
I purchased this used around '95 - '96 and recently got it all spiffed up. I'm trying to determine the Model and year, as well as where to buy any accessories [truss rod cover, case, etc.], so any light anyone could shed would be greatly appreciated!
