Shamrock (does anyone know something about my bass?)

Hi! Last week I bought my first bass. It's an used Shamrock, a replica of the famous Höfner 500/1, but obviously, cheaper. It's not a good bass, but I'm not a good bass player (yet, at least). If anyone knows something about it, please tell me! Internet couldn't help me about this, so this is my last hope! Thank you!

Never seen the brand. Could be just another quickie house brand made in a factory that was putting instruments out for many different clients. From the picture it looks like there is still factory foam underneath the wooden bridge bass. You should remove that as it's only there to prevent the floating bridge from sliding around and scuffing the finish during shipment, and it being there is not good for a proper string to bridge to body transfer of the string vibrations. It will help your tone to remove it.

I've already removed it, two days ago. The same with the pickguard, because it sometimes vibrates and I don't use a pick. Anyway, thank you for the info!!
