Every day when I show up at work, I try to unlock my office door with my house key. Every freakin' day. :rollno:

I have one to beat that. Every day when i walk into work i must put in the security pin. I have 20 seconds before the worlds loudest alarm goes off. One day i walked in, typed in my pin # for my checking account, did not know how to reset it and BOOM, it went off. I ran over to it as fast as i could and i turned it off.

One of my best - I usually walk to the local store to buy bread, milk whatever. We were getting ready for a party and we needed a few things. I decided to take the car because people would be arriving soon and it would be quicker.

On the way home I had that nagging feeling I'd forgotten something. I pulled out the list an went through it again and it all checked out, so I kept going. It wasn't till I got home that I realised what I'd forgotten.... THE CAR!

There are some absolute beauties in this old thread:-

i just spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out what language something on tv was. turns out it was english- without even a bit of an accent.
just about every time i set my bass gear up at home after a gig, i can never get anything working and think "did i break it during the gig?". then i realize i forgot to plug anything in.

Locking keys in car ......done.
Locking keys in car......still fully loaded with equipment...before the gig........done.
Sigh.
Course........after rest of band gets done laughing....I suspiciously ask them if they've done it... turns out they all have...and all now have spare keys hidden under vehicles.
Grrrrrrrrr.

HAHA... at least none of my co-workers were ever able to revel in my personal embarrassment. :p

I once pulled up to a McDonalds drive-thru and ordered a Super Size #1 Value Meal to go... :scowl:

I'm pretty infamous for running reds (albeit not too often). I'm a night owl, so I do a lot of driving at night, when the lights all turn to blinking reds= stop, look both ways, then go if it's clear. Bur every once in a while, during the day, I'll stop at a light, look both ways, see no one is coming, and then go. Never been pulled over for it, but man, every time I do it, I want to pull over to kick myself in the butt.

Yesterday I tried jumping over a pile of snow and landed on a sidewalk covered with ice. It hurt!

Then a while back when stamps increased from $0.39 to $.041, one of my co-workers was talking to a customer and the customer told her that he was going to the post office to buy "two cent stamps." She asked him how long the sale was for. :D
