Shell Pink Basses

OP love love your bass!

I am a fan of shell pink / tort / rosewood. Especially the darker shell pinks. Not such a fan of those that are near white.

In fact shell pink was the inspiration for this build: NBD - Medium scale P bass - Burgundy Mist.

A couple of Lull basses, the PT4 has moved on to a better home. The V4 has a roasted pine body and sounds/feels awesome.

I'll have to dig around in my phone to find the original pic, but I ordered and briefly owned the Dingwall AB1 6 string in shell pink in my avatar. I had to pass it on because tendinitis made it painful to play a 6, but I'll own another shell pink bass someday.

Here's an old cheapo Harmony Short scaler I refurbished 2 years ago. I replaced tuners, installed a Wilkinson P pickup , new pots and jack, plus a Fender-type bridge. Did a fret level/crown and painted it "Pink Blush". It weighed all of 5-1/2 lbs. Shoulda kept it!!

My phone's wallpaper is a limited edition shell pink Jazz with rosewood neck. I sometimes wonder how differently life would have gone if I had simply bought that 2 years ago.

Not in my possession yet but I have an order for a G&L LB-100 in shell pink with a matching headstock, maple FB and white block inlays, and a white pickup cover that’s due to be ready any day now

Not sure if this counts - they call it White Blonde, but it has a pinkish tint to it for sure. My daughter said it looks like raw chicken breast. Squier CV50's P Bass with CV70's P Bass neck.

I get what she's saying. Never thought about it before, but now I'll never be able to look at a translucent off white/pale pinkish finish, without the mental picture of raw chicken breast....
