Double Bass Shen Willow - bracing question

You buy it you store it.Wait....are you guys sayin' I can only have one bass???????
My 1930s Juzek flatback had ladder bracing when I bought it and it was a mess. Loose braces, cracks in the back, open center seam, basically a disaster. A good repairman removed all the braces, cleated the center seam, fixed cracks, and put in a single transverse brace which has since held up really well and it completely changed the bass for the better.
