Shipping bass amp during cold climate?

I’m no expert but, from what I’ve read damage mainly occurs when the device is operational or if it is warmed up to quickly. I’ve used cameras at -20 C without issue and the only warnings I read was to warm it up slowly.

Also, the manual should have a minimum operating temp in the specs.

You’re fine.

Here’s what you definitely need to do: let it warm up in the box. Give it a full day.

If it is still cold when you unpackaged it, you and there’s any humidity at all in your house, you’ll get condensation. Not good.

If it’s good enough for my upright bass that travelled across the country in winter temps, it’ll be good enough for your amp.

You want the gear to warm up to room temperature at a natural speed so no internal moisture condensation occurs. A day sitting in the house at room temperature should be adequate. Don’t plug it or otherwise use it until that time elapses.
