Pirateship is a great resource. I'll use Reverb shipping when I really want to take advantage of the reverb Safe Shipping, otherwise I'll use Pirateship. Never had an issue. I had one claim and it was handled very quickly and professionally.
Reverb annoys me because they add mandatory fees like "signature required." I don't know about you, but USPS hasn't asked for a signature on most things since pre-pandemic. It's a $5 charge.
A trick for shipping pedals - most pedals (with packing materials) will fit in a USPS flat rate envelope. With $100 insurance, it's under $10 to ship. With Pirateship, even with a few hundred $$$ insurance, it's often under $10 to ship pedals and the like.
