Shockmounted, is it worth it?

As long as you're the one loading/unloading it, I wouldn't bother with the shockmount-imho. SO much added weight and size, I personally don't think their worth it.
, only if you've got roadies....If that were my head I would definately put it in a shockmount case. The added protection is worth the extra weight. To me anyway...
I dont know if im just weird in this respect, but I LOVE heavy gear. The extra effort of carrying, loading and unloading very heavy gear makes playing it all the more satisfying.

IMO it depends on who is handling it and how they're handling it. You can get a hard board type case with a 1" or 1.5" foam if it makes you feel better about it. But if you're loading it and it's in your car, I don't feel it's necessary. I've done it with my Crown, etc.. in a 6 space for years and no problems, but it was me handling it.
Im getting one for my SVT-II soon, well, when i can afford to anyways.
Im getting a RoadReady 4U shockmount case i think, but there are many other companies out there, the downside is that the unit altogether will weigh 150+lbs, so, practically the same weight as my 810! But, doesnt bother me that much.
