Why is everyone so surprised about the slide rule? Isn't that what the long thin pocket on the front of the bass case is for? And the square pocket next to the bridge are for wet and dry bulbs. Duh...

Double Bass shoot me...humidity questions

I gotta agree with fingers. When you're gigging, you have no control over the humidity, and transport complicates matters worse.
There's only 2 kinds of humidity- low and otherwise. Low (for me) is anything below 40%. That's when I bust out the humidifiers. I generally only need them when I'm running the heat in my house.
Splitting hairs over the accuracy of humidity measurement system A over B, well... My metronome/tuner/thermometer/hygrometer ($50 from Robertson's) here in my studio says 74.7 and 43%, Which to me says 'warm and OK'.
