My Kubicki Ex Factor was 32" scale and it was fantastic. It's certainly a scale length that works for me!

Short Scale Basses

I have an Epiphone Viola (Beatlebass knockoff, my first bass) that sounds great, but could use some shielding. A couple other cheap shorties. But THE bass ships this morning and arrives later this week.... My Birdsong Cortobass... Check out their stuff. It is awesome. Just ask Ben.

I just Bought an Epiphone Eb-0 on Ebay for 100 bones. Like everyone said it neck dives like like submarine. not a bad bass though.a the Low E buzzes like sumbich though, I feel like the Pick up is too high and hits the strings. Plays well with a pick though, but as far as thumping with the fingers I feel like I have to be very careful to not cause extra noise. any thoughts on this? message me. How do I fix the dive?
When I was looking for a short scale and having no luck finding some thing I liked I decided to get a 5 string instead.
The fret spacing between the 3rd and 4th frets on the 5 er is almost the same as the space between the nut and the 1st fret on my on my 30.5" short scale guitar.
The short scales I tried and sold were a Hamer Slammer and an Austin. They weren't really that bad but after getting my 5 string I didn't really need a short scale any more but I did get a Douglas viola bass from Rondo Music because of the smaller body and light weight.
Some one said something about Epiphone Viola bass being a Hofner Viola bass knock off but I'm thinking the Epiphone was first.

I have an Allen Woody Rumblekat and my wife has a Bronco. I just got the Rumblekat last week and am loving it. Huge low end. Looks and plays great. Not my first choice for slapping but that's not what this bass is about.
It also sounds great for chord melodies and is easy to get around on for soloing/jazz.

I have a reissue Epiphone Rivoli that has serious issues with the pickup/electronics, but otherwise I love playing it.
I also have a Schecter Hellcat VI and a Burns Barracuda; both are bass VI types
I love 30-inch scale basses. My next bass will either be a Harmony H22 or a Hofner Contemporary violin bass, to replace the Rivoli
