Shorter search term indexing?

Can somebody please change the search term indexing from 4 characters to 3??

The number of legitimate things I have tried to search for and can't grows constantly.

G&L
SB1
SB2
JB2
SVT
L2K

I know there's a bunch more, but I just can't think of them right now.

Sorry for the frustrations - pull down the search menu to "Search Forums with Google" to get rid of all these limitations.
