Should I be worried?

Lastnight I played an outdoor gig. We played our set and came back up to play again when I got back up I noticed my bass neck was all wet with dew and the fretboard was pouring out water as well. Bass should be fine, dried it off as soon as I was done.

But I was also running my 3pro head with my cab, should I be worried about anything inside the head rusting over, or the speakers in the cab at all? Eveything seemed to feel moist, including the top of the amp,but I had to turn it on and use it again and nothing shorted out, tried it out this morning and everything worked great as well. Am I in the clear?

Well, I wouldn’t make a habit of doing that and it’s good everything is still working - if you ever find yourself in a similar situation again cover your amp with a tarp and put your bass in it’s case and cover it too.

it happened to me once. guitar that is... when wet the neck bent and strings were on the frets. it was very humid out and left it in the guitar stand in the garage. must got cold and humidity condesed on guitar. brought it in the air conditioned house. it was good in a day or so.

In general, the trick to recovering from incidents like this is to bring temp+humidity back to normal SLOWLY, like Mcrelly did. (Let nature take its course and don't force it along.)

Re. your specific case: If your amp started back up fine, then it probably will continue to be fine; its internal heat probably dried things off through the vents. The instrument, who knows. One major determinant will be neck finish. Poly all around would be best. On the other hand, tung oiled back w/ bare wood fretboard, well...
