See on a jazz I always play all neck pup and just a bit of the bridge (for warmth) but when I'm trying to get the full midrangy bite I leave out the bridge pup!

Hold on, you say you use the neck pickup full, and you add bridge pickup for warmth? Wouldn't it be the opposite? It is with mine. And if you leave you the bridge pickup, you would get the opposite of full mid bite? Total warmth? I find the bridge pickup to be a lot more midrangy and biting.

For me it is neck pup wide open and bridge 3/4 open...
