Should I bury it or resurrect it

Well folks, my hartke ha5500 is on life support, for whatever reason when u turn it on sometimes it stays on and play as it should and other times it comes on then u hear a click noise and u no longer can hear anything coming from the bass, so I take it to shop and they said its something to do with the solid state part of the amp and parts and labor will be 200$, I actually only paid 200$ for the amp, should I move on or get it repaired??? Is it worth keeping

It took me about six seconds to find one used on line for $250. Unless for some reason you love the sound, put the $200 to a new/newer head.

Had this happened 6 months ago I could have sold you my TX600 for $150.

You might be able to sell it as-is for a few bucks, or give it aways. Somebody else will fix it, it might be somebody who does it for a hobby.

That amp has volume issues, played one a few days ago, volume had to be like at 8 or so just to have decent volume

Ampeg pf500,fender rumble 500 head, peavy mini max500 maybe even hartke lh500/1000,something not expensive

correct..thats why i traded it in to sam ash..they gave me $123 for it.

A guy gonna buy the hartke tomorrow for 100$ I will put that towards a backup amp, the BUGERA veyron sounds amazing
