If you really want the bass, go back to GC and ask if they'll do 12 months same as cash.
My wife and I dont own or use credit cards so its the only way I roll.If you get a loan then it's going to wind up costing you more than $1019. The fundamental rule of finance is that if you have to borrow the money you can't afford it. The only two exceptions to the rule are a mortgage and your education.

It can be affordable with financial aid/grants/scholarships - people that have these insane debts could have opt'd for going to a public community college then state university instead of putting 'status' as their primary goal.
you're right it's a bad investment to run up 120k of student loans to goto a private college just to graduate making less than 50k a year.

I went to GC and picked out a Natural Sterling H S 4 maple neck (FB) -- it was on the wall for 1499 and I got it for the same price they gave you. They must be doing that everywhere to get ready for tax time or something. My new Sterling is cool mang !
