The issue with replacing the speaker with the same one that was in it before, is that I never loved the sound of the cab. It was basically something that I needed to get buy and it did the job. I was always planning on upgrading my rig down the road (and once I had the cash)
Now that I am in this situation, I don't want to put more money into a rig that I don't want to keep, hence wondering if it is safe to put a new speaker in the cab for now (thinking either a Faital Pro 15PR400 or a Eminence 3015) until I move it into a new cabinet that I will most likely build (TL606 or Greenboy design).
Am I going to damage the speakers to do this temporarily? Im aware of the issue with matching the speaker specs to cab specs as far as sound, but was curious if it would harm the speaker?
