I have a bass (A Yamaha RBX375 to be precise) which i abosultely adore. I have tried out many more expensive basses and all but a few still had me preferring my old Yammy.
Seeing as it is a mid-range instrument, i'm planning on tweaking it out a bit to make it more professional-grade. I have already had it set up, intstalled straplocks and i frequently replace my strings with my favourite brand (Ernie Ball). I have decided to replace the preamp at some point as the stock one can be a bit buzzy.
What I was wondering is whether swapping the hardware will make any difference? I have no tuning problems but will replacing the tuners/bridge make it a better instrument in any way or am I just being stupid?
