Should I shield?

I searched through various threads but didn't really see what I was looking for. Would it be advisable to shield my Stingray and/or my Kingston Heir?

From the threads I've read it seems to be more beneficial to single coil pups, which the Heir has one of. Will it improve the sound of my set up?

I wouldn't do the shielding myself because I just don't have the skills. I've never heard of anyone regretting it, either. I'm just trying to decide if it would be worth the money on humbucker-centered bases.
