Should I use a drill to install my new neck?

The new paint job is going to be red, so sadly black and maple won't be the finished product! But I've always liked the look of red with maple so I'm not too upset

And yeah I noticed the gap in the back as well. I had already reinstalled it about 3 times to get it as snug as I could and I stopped because it was late at night. Once I get the paint job right and am ready to put this bad boy together I'll make sure it's sitting as snug as it can be

Cool! I like red and maple as well. If you remove the screws and firmly hold the neck in the pocket, is the gap still there? Does the gap only appear once the screws are tightened?

My 12v stuff is more than capable of snapping screws and does almost everything my 18v stuff does. Newer brushless motors are pretty awesome!

In the land of "lowest bidder" we've still got the old school brushed tools but you've revived my tool GAS. Ever try out the new battery operated miter saws? They're amazing

No, I'm an electrician. My corded miter saw is great for home use. But I'm loaded up with Milwaukee M12/M18 Fuel stuff so if I ever make the switch, it'll be the Milwaukee.

Johnson Paste Wax into the holes and the 4 mounting screws will torque down very easily.

This stuff is standard equipment on my bass work bench.
