Should I wait for the Promethean P3115 ????

I have to get this off my chest. I read some comments from this post and it seems like some people don't understand.... Before bass combos were 'modular' they just did one thing... amplify the bass! Why does it have to be modular? It isn't a 'downgrade,' just another approach to a fine amplifier. An amplifier is is a personal choice and for some people the simple approach is sufficient. That doesn't make it any worse. If you went out and tried it, it might actually sound excellent, but you'll never know unless you drop your prejudices about it.... ok done ranting... no offense to anyone ok..

In its stock form I was not quite happy with it. Its a sealed cabinet and sound output was limited. The tweeter when used at high volumes would crackle (there is an on/off switch).

I removed the tweeter and installed a 3" bass port. I also installed an Eminence 3015 neo.

Its now my favorite combo for rehersal and small clubs. Sounds loud and clear with deep bass. I'm not a tweeter fan so no loss.

I never had a complaint about the amplifier section. Plenty of EQ options and power. My thread:

Purchased a Promethean P3115 yesterday because my GK mb212 is in the shop and I'm gigging tonight at a small venue. The first run of the GK 212 ultralights has turned out to be unreliable as evidenced elsewhere on these forums. I think the Promethean will be fine, but we'll see....

Hi mate, I'm on the hunt for an amp/cab stack or combo to use and it has been a fight to find what I need, which is lightweight, portability and power.

I came across the Promethean P3115 at a shop here in the UK, would you mind to see if that's the model you refer to?

I'm in a four-piece rock band, struggling to hear myself amongst two loud guitars and loud drummer ;-)

I have been a GK fan for a while, but my Backline 600 has suffered from chronic reliability issues without having ever been worked hard. I am wondering if the Promethean p3115 is "The One" for me. The descriptions sound great, but, having been burned with reliability issues before, I am a bit "gun-shy." Now that some folks have gotten a few years into them, do the p3115s hold up to gigs? Sound-level competition with drummers and lead players? Thanks in advance for your candid thoughts!
