If that was the name before you joined, theres probably little chance that they will agree to change it. I think you're right that it needs to change in that (1) somebody already has that name & (2) theres so many problems w/ the spelling and pronounciation. But if youre the only one I dont think its worth getting heated about it, just go with it. You could try to pitch the idea that you all come up with a new name collectively in that with you now in the picture, its a new line up, therfore there should be a new name.
