SHOULDER EXCERCIES

Good body mechanics can be most efficiently achieved by practicing. Not weights. Not anything else. Stretching is a must before anything physical, especially something repetitive that goes on for hours (that's what she said).

Good strap adjusted well-adjusted. Stretch out all your muscles and tendons. Play until your muscles are sore, not your nerves or tendons. Done.

If you want to get your shoulders all jacked up like a bodybuilder my buddy swears by just grabbing a weight and holding it out in front of you with your arms straight forward and level. It may look simple or silly but the dude's huge and doesn't take steroids.

I personally would not like to have a bunch of fat or muscle on my frame. That'd be terrible for playing bass.
