I don't know where it was made, I bought it for £100 from a bloke in a train station a couple of summers ago, it turned out to be a decent bass and I've gigged it quite a lot.

It's currently taking a back seat to my '91 Warwick Thumb because we've got some tunes that need roundwounds and I don't have time to switch basses live, but the Squier still gets used in the studio. :)

I've been hesitating to post for a while now, and I'm still not sure, but there they are...

ps: I hate the white finish/white pickguard on this one, but I can't get a black or tortoise shell one because it's all one pickguard - you probably can't see, but there's no chrome control cover on this one, it's all one piece of plastic, does anybody know where I could get another one for a pretty reasonable price ($60 max)?

Damn!!!...Buncha young dudes posting to this thread...Making me feel all old and crap...:eyebrow:

Anyways, here's me and my modded Squire "P"...Have no idea what model it is, as I got it for free, with a busted pickup, missing strings and, kinda beat up...I turned it into a Dale Earnhardt #3 bass, complete with all new Fender replacement pots, Seymour Duncan 1/4-pounder pickup, and knobs that I made out of a couple chrome mag wheel lug nuts...

I've got one of those too, in red. '95 I believe. WD Music or Pickguardian will probably make you one if you send in a tracing. You could just buy a standard pickguard and control plate, but you'll need to widen the pickup route in the guard a bit as both pickups are bridge size.

Here's my Korean Squier with emg's and hipshot hardware. Someone sanded off the flat surfaces of the front/back of the body then brushed on poly. Left the leftover white paint on the edges. Interesting look but the neck is what sells it. Really comfortable and has a nice broken in feel.

thanks man, I've also been thinking about greasygroove, but I kinda want it fast, I might even just make a tacing and do one out of some 1/8" doorboard ply and spraypaint it black. That would just be to tide me over 'till I can afford something other than cheap beer. Mine's a '94, but I took it apart and the neck was made in early '94, and body was late '93.
