And I'm looking at buying one of these. I hear they are good.

The Classic Vibe Precision is an awesome bass to play. It has excellent fret work, a nicely finished yellow tint neck that is easy to play. The bass sounds really good when you dig in and the stock pickups start to overdrive a little. The actual color of the bass I would say is salmon not really red (fiesta red). It has a high mass bridge with big brass saddles. I don't plan on doing any mods to the bass, it's not needed. Just do a good setup and play it.

I also have a 1994 Affinity Jazz thats in pieces, need to rebuild it. Gonna get it refinished in neon pink for abit of fun.

They're pretty great. I have mine strung with D'Addario Nickel rounds, and they've mellowed out to the point where they can be warm or nasty, depending on my needs.

I got mine for $150 at GC (technically a Christmas gift) and I've loved it. I'm hoping to change the pickups someday. The stock PUs are 4-string housing (I think) blade-style, which means 5-string Jazz pickups are both too tall and too wide. It would require a lot of routing to get a set of MIM Jazz V pickups in there So, I'm still lookin' for a set.

Until then, it's a great bass. The neck is what pulled me to it. I LOVE this huge neck. It feels great in my hands. I can't say enough about it!!
