Show me your compact pedalboard setup

what is the MI Blue Boy like? Is it similar to the Tube Zone that I have?

Nice looking Board. Makes me think that aguilar should develop a bass chorus pedal, and fast! ;-)

Here's mine, as posted on the nano thread:

And a strong recommendation for everyone starting the build of a very small board: Get a set of George L.'s or Lava cables.
When working on such a small space, every bit counts and these soldereless, tiny cables with adjutstable lengths are somewhat pricey, but worth every penny.
Pedals can move so much closer together, especially if you have a mix of sideways connectors and top connectors.
And the Jacks are reusable if you change your setup and are in need of a different length of cable.

here we go..., my simple-compact pedalboard..

This is my first go at a pedalboard. Put it together last week, but have since taken off the looper, as it sucks more tone than the pedals alone. Just a 12"x14" piece of pine with velcro. Powered by a One Spot. Will be adding a Tu-2 tuner, a EHX Small Stone, and a ZVex Mastotron. Needs refinement too, but I'm excited about it.

Nice start! If the looper is true bypass your tone suck would be due to the length of the cables (cable in to looper, cable out to amp = 1 cable). I would recommend a buffer of sorts in the future if you decide to still use the looper. Anywas, great looking board! :)

don't understand these solderless cables.

why is everyone scared of a soldering iron?

Totally agree. Nothing more stressful than having a failure mid show, taking the time to solder my patch cables together gives piece of mind. A couple of metres of mogami cable, some 90deg amphenol connectors. So much cheaper also.

So what if it takes some practice? Watch a tutorial on YouTube, buy a couple of extra connectors to practice on, or perhaps accidentally destroy? It's worth learning how to do it.

(Wait for it...)

For me it's the space. I'd personally prefer soldered cables but my small board is so tight that George Ls (or Lava, which I haven't used) are the only plugs that fit.

I agree here as well. I can solder rather well. I do wish I could find the right materials at times to make my eon from scratch, but I've always gotten confused on what wire and connectors to get. George L's are def more expensive but in the end, I've never had an issue with them, I can make longer or shorter ones in 5 min or less, it saves me a ton of room on my board and they look nice and sound even better. I would still like to buy my own materials someday and make my own though. Anyone have links they could share where I can find wire and connectors to where all I have to do is buy those two things and I'm ready to go? I've got all the necessary tools and materials at home to solder them together. I'd need right angle connectors that can fit in snug spaces.

My soldering skills leave a little to be desired, so that's part of it. (Tried a BYOC envelope filter and it half worked. :D)

But for what it's worth, my main board is strung up with a Planet Waves cable kit, and I have a couple short cables (5'ish to go from board to amp) that I do use for rehearsals and some gigs... have yet to have a failure and have been using them for 4 or 5 years now.

5sg.

Here's mine all on a PT-JR:

Bass -> Korg Pitchblack -> Visual Volume -> Zoom MS-60B -> MSLP Loop Switcher:

Loop 1: MXR bass Comp
Loop 2: Empress Multidrive
Loop 3: Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk B
Loop 4: Boss DD-7 (with tap tempo on MSLP loop) -> Dr. Scientist mini Reverberator -> MXR Carbon Copy

Looper out -> Radial JDI (to FOH) -> sFx micro Thumpinator -> amp

When we get back from tour I'm going to move the zoom to the end of the chain before the JDI and make the back riser a little less deep.

A shot of the tier:

Very cool. I like the angle of it. What's it made out of?

Thanks! Believe it or not, it's made out of an old pencil box I found in my garage... I took it apart, sawed it in half to the desired angle and then glued it back together and hit it with a rough coat of black spray paint. To help in the description it was originally something similar to this, the pedals sit velcro-ed on the bottom side now that it has been born again as a pedal board! Hoping to make a briefcase pedalboard next once I collect a few more effects.

Hi Guys

Just finished my first pedal board (Pedaltrain mini):

Link Removed

Bass (wireless) --> Boss LS2 --> send/retrun loop with Ibanez Chorus and EH enigma Q-balls --> Aguilar compressor.

With the Boss LS2 I can mix the clean bass sound with either the chorus and/or envelope filter. Opinions about the placement of the compressor on the end? I tought it would be best at the end so it can 'squeeze' the signal if I add the effects that adds db's.

Here is mine or should I say the start of.
Shure GLXD>HPF3.0>Zoom MS-60B>Countryman Type 10 DI>Eden WTDI. I may change out the WTDI and try Carl Martin Bass Drive. Which may also change the way it's wired. Opinions are welcomed!

the pedalboard and powersupply situation will change once I figure how I really want it
