Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Question. When you guys buy a pedalboard frame, do you buy a frame that fits the setup you have in mind, or one that fits your planned setup plus some extra space for future purchases/add-ons?

Well I found some brackets that take 2 wood hobby boards...so it's possible to just cut boards to length you need. I could go with longer boards if I decide I want an extra pedal or two. Found the brackets on etsy btw.

Oops thought this board was going to be big enough. I need some smaller patch cables. Added the Omicron and it rips, makes my other dirt sound nasty in a good way!

Good question.

There's an iron law that will inevitably kick in: the number of pedals on your board will increase to fill the available space.

The way I've kinda worked things out recently is to center my two boards on a multi fx (Zoom and Helix respectively) and to add pedals around it that the multi is not going to do as well. I was seriously shocked to find recently that my great value Zoom B1-4 was able to get to 90%+ of what I was looking for from a drive pedal costing several times as much. Did that mean extra space on the board? Absolutely not, its place got taken up by another pedal straight away!

I like finding a setup and buying a board to that. I end up buying frivolous stuff that I don't need if I have the space. I guess that is part of the fun though.

This was my second try at it but so far the power section on the 101 & Interlock have seemed to do a fairly good job of it for home play for me.

Thinking I'd like to try a BB802 but I don't know what I'd do with 800W most of the time.

I talked briefly to Pat Quilter once, and he noted that two of his 200 Watt heads would work for my application. I was more concerned about the preamp circuitry, to be honest. Outside of the wattage, how do you find the controls to work with bass? Are they suited for our particular frequency range?

Thanks!

I've pretty much left things flat on the pre of the InterBlock 45 on the couple of occasions I've plugged into the pre for bass use. In my brief bass test drive of the 101 I've flipped it to the Jazz voice & left the TriQ/rolloff flat.

Usually I'm handling the pre & EQ w/ a bass preamp &/or EQ pedal plugged into the loop return. I also have generally had these plugged into just that EX112 cab for practice so don't have too extensive a pool of useful input to draw on.

Nice board man! I've never used one for bass but those Joyo Flangers are really underrated, especially for the stupid low money they go for....

it’s a really nice flanger, I have had a few other joyo pedals but this is by far my favorite one.

I may replace her with a chorus with some flange, but I’m in no hurry.

Wow, that's a lot of dirt!

I use my 12 Step for my Waldorf Streichfett, one of my favorite purchases! Do you happen to have any samples of your moog through those classy looking fuzz pedals?

I need to shoot a synth demo this week. The SFG is designed with 36V of headroom so it handles synths and not signals extremely well.

Built myself another nano sized board out of aluminium tube and flat to move stuff on and off. The purchase of my Effectrode LA-1A has made me want to use it with all my set ups, not just leave it on one board.
Signal path of this is Tuner/LA-1A/Particle Accelerator/Radial SB-2. Had to put the P.A. where it is to fit everything on.
3 tubes in the LA-1A and 1 in the P.A. makes for a pretty fat, round, smooth tone to be honest. Loving how it sounds in my IEM. Can see this being used often. Especially when no other effects are needed.
