Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Built myself another nano sized board out of aluminium tube and flat to move stuff on and off. The purchase of my Effectrode LA-1A has made me want to use it with all my set ups, not just leave it on one board.
Signal path of this is Tuner/LA-1A/Particle Accelerator/Radial SB-2. Had to put the P.A. where it is to fit everything on.
3 tubes in the LA-1A and 1 in the P.A. makes for a pretty fat, round, smooth tone to be honest. Loving how it sounds in my IEM. Can see this being used often. Especially when no other effects are needed.

I love that sort of idea. A sort of scalable, modular board of boards. So you have your core tone board, for instance. A board with time-based effects, a modulation board maybe, etc etc. Or maybe divy up boards by use case (did you just assume my genre?) so a pop board with synth sounds, octaves, heavy comp. A metal board with a split-and-grit signal chain. Etc etc.

Honestly, I tried to talk myself out of it. I was fine when they were out of stock, but once they were available again and I'd wake up every morning and see how many people had posted they'd purchased on the compressor thread or Preamp/DI thread overnight, it wore me down. The straw that broke the camels back was someone posting locally that they wanted a SD studio bass, which is what I was going to move. So glad the stars aligned. It really is a killer sounding piece of kit.

Curious - how do you like the Blackstone? Are you running it right after the tuner, right before comp?

I really like it. The brown channel has become an always on for me. I like the Blackstone better than my Pork Loin with JohnK mod and better than my BBBOD clone.
Yeah I have it first in the chain after tuner. It is so amplike that I like being able to control the breakup with my bass preamp/volume.

Thanks for the info - I recall reading about these a while back, but they kinda fly under the radar/hoopla. I need to check one out!

I've asked this elsewhere, but I've struggled to find an answer. Has anyone tried an H9 with OX9 on a Nano+? The H9 itself takes up about all the vertical board space, so with the OX9 there would probably be an inch+ of overhang, but I'm wondering if it would be reasonably usable or not. I don't really want to go to a bigger board. Thanks!

It becomes exactly 4cm longer, also because the trs connection at the top sticks out some extra too.
That's a useful distinction, thanks.

So about an inch and a half of overhang overall then. Wonder if that would be annoying to use or if it would be fine. I imagine I'll just have to order an OX9 and give it a shot, as I haven't been able to find anyone who has tried it.

Love the board! Why did you decide to put the compressor after the pass filter though? I always thought compression cancelled any type of eq. Maybe I'm wrong though, I'm still a newbie when it comes to effects
I guess thought was, dont need to compress what is going to be taken out. Just got the HPF/LPF and amazing how it clarifies the sound all around, low end and high. and after searching TB for a while on the subject. Certainly 2 schools of thought as usual here:)
