Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Liking that Sennheiser wireless?
I've been eyeballing one for a while now.

Honestly I'm a little undecided still. It the first wireless I've had since a Nady back in the 90's. I've only used it at our practice space 4-5 times since I got it and the first night it seemed like there was some WiFi interference. But the may have just been in my head. I haven't had a chance to use it at a live show yet so I can't say for sure if I trust it yet. I'd really like to have gone the Shure GLX16 route because I know how stable and loved they are. But since they aren't made anymore and used on Reverb are $500+ and I got this one for <$300 I figured I'd give it a shot.

Edit: Also the clip for it is kind of janky and I ended up just using velcro wrap cable straps to cinch it to my strap since the clip isnt' oriented the right way.

Just wrapped this up a couple weeks ago, all on a Rockboard Duo 2.1, it's not quite as feature laden as my main gigging board, but this little guy is gonna punch well above it's paygrade once I can start playing again. :bassist:

So while they discontinued the GLXD16, they now make the GLXD16+! They added an input jack, as well as it supports the 5ghz frequency range as well as the OG 2.4ghz range.

Actually I am using both Joyos as a single always-on unit for an on-the-verge-of-breakup sound, clean enough if you play gently and gnarly enough if you dig harder.
I love the drive sound of the Orange Juice, so snarly, not at all farty. Also, the "Voice" knob enhances beautifully the mids on my P bass, in a very balanced, musical way, if that makes sense. That, plus the treble, bass and blend controls on the FOH make for a fantastic tone sculpting tool.
There's some noise that can't be taken away but as far as live performances go I don't see it as a problem. I wouldn't record it with that though, and that's a shame because it sounds really fantastic.
My only worry was that the FOH, as a DI pedal, doesn't have a ground lift switch, so in order to avoid troubles I decided to add another, properly equipped DI box at the end of the chain

View attachment 4982800 Here's my current small board for gigs where I don't want to carry around a bunch of stuff. Loving the sound of the Mira compressor and how it reacts with the Tumnus, which I kind of use as a tone sweetener always on boost. The Division is super simple and just sounds great.
Wow this board has changed a lot since February; absolutely love where it's at now!

I don’t use many effects these days so I made myself a wireless utility board using a D’addario XPND 2 pedal riser. The cheap power supply from Amazon was a friction fit but an added strip of Velcro where you can’t see gives some extra hold. Stick on feet gave me perfect ground clearance for the plugs. I spent way too long wrestling the extra cable length and I’ll be looking for some short right angle on both sides cables, but this will do for now.

My pretty basic little board. The OC-2 got a little more use in the past when I was playing in an original rock band. Not so much now that I'm playing in a gospel/soul covers group. The Prunes and Custard comes on at a mellow setting for a couple of the dirtier Pops Staples/Mavis Staples tunes. Compressor is always on. Thinking about a Boss GEB-7 to fill up the board. I can't really think of any other 'effects' I would use at the moment.

Check out the Big Joe PB-109 Li2 Powerbox battery. In case your cable can't reach an outlet, then you have that available. I like mine.

I appreciate the suggestion and it is a great idea. I have a similar lithium ion power supply wedged under the pedalboard. It isn’t as nice as the big joe but it has served me well for over a year now. Not relying on power from the main supply has been great for noise suppression and flexibility on stage.

Damn... I just shelled out 1
$140 for the mission engineering power bank after I failed to find anything comparable. Guess I didn't look hard enough :banghead:

You will be glad you got the nice one. The 300ma Jack on my cheap one will power up my ADAM, but it doesn’t have enough juice to utilize the chorus and it kills the supply really quickly. It can’t be beat for low draw analog pedals.

That makes me feel much better. The mission has like 30k power storage. It'll power my ADAM an octaver and looper

Lots of inspiration here! So here’s my contribution, with the Cioks power supply and Broughton HPF (that had to fit in underneath) as the latest additions. The board itself is a RockBoard 3.0 that I cut in half, more or less. Used the leftovers to extend it depthwise, in order to fit nicely on top of the Micromark 801 in a Meinl bag. Roughly 11”x11”.

That’s slick!
