Show me your compact pedalboard setup

This being TalkBass, the correct response is “I need more pedals!”. Carry on.

I’m not sure if this is quite compact enough for this thread but it’s the smallest board Temple Audio board anyway.

Cali-76>Packrat>MBD2>Model feT>DCX Bass>Zuul+>Microtubes Infinity

I am pretty undecided about the bottom three. I have a Doom 2 coming, and I kind of want an sub octave on the board too, so the Model feT and Packrat are probably going to my other board.

Tidy!

Finally got my Nano board up and running again, after moving to a Metro 16 back in March. Definitely compact!

This is my fly rig (along with a Two Notes Torpedo), and also the “bare essentials” board for times when I don’t need the bells and whistles.

Welp.... THIS didn't last long! LOL. Took it to its first rehearsal, and was getting some WILD hum/buzz. Thought maybe it was this Sushi Box not pairing well with something else on the daisy-chained power supply. But, when I went to tune my bass, I noticed the hum got a fair bit louder when I turned the tuner on. Likewise, it got quieter once I turned it off. So I bypassed the tuner in the chain, and Voila! Hum gone. Great example of "you get what you pay for"; scored that Donner tuner for $10 on my local Kijiji.

Was gonna start looking around for replacements, when I remembered my old and trusty v1 Korg Pitchblack kicking around, which had developed a dodgy stomp switch. Decided to use it as a stop-gap, but gave the stomp a huge hit of contact cleaner, and that seems to have cleared the issue up entirely! Nothing but clean and reliable switching now. So until it goes dodgy again, I think I'll just keep things as-is.

Had to go get some tallboy-sized stomp buttons for the Xotic, though; it's so short that I couldn't access the stomps, nestled as they were next to the Boss and Sushi respectively. No more problems there! Plus, I just love arts n crafts, so couldn't help but swap a few knobs around while I was troubleshooting....

My pitch black tuner keeps coming back to my board. Kind of have to admire its tenacity. Very hard to get rid of it completely.

My simplified “gig bag board” from last night’s gig. I was in the opening slot using the headliner’s backline (a cool 70s SVT into a Barefaced cab rig) and his pedalboard was atop the SVT. I think the guy must have been a TBer based on his pedalboard (lots of Broughton and 3Leaf) but we didn’t get a chance to chat aside from pleasantries.

Anyway, boost, fuzz, and chorus with a way to stay in tune was just fine for me.

@kazuhank What do you think about the Ross Chorus? I really want to check out the reissues as I had several Ross pedals back in the day that I rather liked.
The Ross chorus is great! The build quality and tone are top notch.

Last night's gig was a Smiths tribute band, and the Ross nails that 80s analog chorus sound well.

I tried out the distortion as well and it was terrible. There was a ton of low end loss and while I dug the OD tone, it wouldn't work for me on bass without running it through a Damnation Dirt Fixer.

I can't speak to the compressor or fuzz and wish I had grabbed one of those instead of the distortion.

Got the board updated again, hopefully good for a while. Love where this is now. Wanted to go more minimal but that didn’t work too well. Was like Tetris due to that dumb Digbeth being pretty big. But, got them all situated with wires running back and forth underneath.

Routing:
Strobo > BDDI >(to FOH;parallel out to board) > Prestige > Humboldt > Sheehan > Chorus > Digbeth > amp.

Going to try Prestige first and then last and see which I like best. Will just have to switch a few cables underneath.

Have more than a few different options for flavors of drive with the current setup.

Now someone buy my last pedal I have in the classifieds and I can have some peace for a while.
:roflmao:
