Show me your compact pedalboard setup

finally got around to making the tweaks that I had been wanting.

Tweak #1, moved the always-on Milkman Op Amp underneath the pedal board.

Tweak #2, removed the volume knob and cut a notch into the shaft to be able to adjust the volume from above. Crappy pic, but you get the idea. You can see the red light shining through the hole to show that it’s on.

Tweak #3, added spacers to the side handles to provide more clearance for the Noble DI xlr. Previously, the space was tight, and I never liked keeping any pressure on the xlr jack. Plenty of room now.

Tweak #4, octave + delay pedals. After moving the op amp underneath and admitting to myself that I don’t use the distortion pedal 98% of the time, I swapped in two pedals that I use a lot more. The delay creates just a *slight* amount of reverb-type effect. It is so subtle that you don’t even hear it…. until you turn it off. It adds a touch of live-room loveliness. The octave is the octave, you know what it is. Completely different character, especially when playing high up on the neck.

All pedals stay on all the time except the octave.

Gonna stop tweaking now. For a little while at least.

Where did you get the spacers for the handles? Facing a similar issue on a board

I got them at my local Ace Hardware, but I'm sure you could find them at most larger hardware stores. They are made of aluminum and they happen to be almost the same outer diameter as the handles themselves. Keep in mind that if you add spacers you'll also need longer screws. The screws for the Temple Board handles are metric (M4 size). I replaced the 12mm Phillips-head screws with M4 x 16mm hex-head screws. I find that a right-angle Allen wrench is a better tool for this purpose than angling a Phillips screwdriver.

How do you like the Mantic and how do you used it differently than the 3 Leaf?
Mantic is great for Rage Against the Machine tunes like bomb track, or set it up to be a earth shaking signal obliterating sub. It's just as valuable to me, especially when tuning the trim pots to lessen the 30 and 60hrz and using the Hulk to thicken up everything, even the 3leaf! Double subs are fun!

How do you like the Banana?
J!

It tracks excellently. The pedal is my 'wild card' pedal, and there's a lot of sounds to be found by tweaking the knobs. I guess my minor gripe is that for such a small pedal it has so many knobs that they have to be tiny, and that's a challenge for someone with fat fingers like me. I also can't remember all the different modes so I had to write it down and paste it on my board (you can see it in the photo, right above the pedal).

Didn't get the jazz gig. Auditioning for another band today, more in the "jam band" style, so I switched some things up. Let's see how this one goes!

Always on here are the Cali76, Phat Phuk B, and the SV-PRE. Amp (Mesa D-350) has a four pole HPF at 30hz, so I leaving my HPF at home. Cab is a Revsound 1x15.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. The Gilamondo is the chewiest, funkiest phaser I've ever played.

The cabling is causing my heart-rate to increase for sure, but that does look like quite the fun selection of pedals! With the PPB and SVP always-on, do you have any ability to boost your signal further, once into a jam? I've always liked to have one boost-type gain stage somewhere in the rig, just in case the song goes to 11, but you're already at 10, and just need that extra 1 :roflmao:

Good luck on getting the gig, by the by! Just remember to be yourself, have fun, and (especially today!) try to always serve the song before anything else. You got this!

Thank you! Jajaj me too to be honest. But that's how it is when using a nano board without space beneath. I could make it tidier by aligning the wires in order but I was in a rush getting it ready while working.

I can't boost again with having both those one. I have an Xotic RC Booster that I'd use to punch through but this time I went with tone first. When I stomp on the fuzz I do get a dirty boost so that's something.

Thank you! It's always about the song, sir. I'll report back when I can.

What would those 2 mini foot switches do?

The AMT Pangaea Ultima U2 pedal right above the two dual footswitches is a multi-effect with presets, that can do 7 effects at a time.
1- wah (if you use one of the footswitch connections for a expression pedal)
2- compressor
3- phaser
4- flanger
5- chorus
6- delay
7- tremolo

With two dual footswitches connected and the switch on the pedal, 5 of those effects can be bypassed/engaged. It also has a lot of other switching options if desired (such as a switch can bypass one effect (or multiple), while engaging another effect (or multiple) with one press for example).

A really cool thing about this pedal are the 4 little orange led indicator lights along the bottom edge, to show which switches are on/off, really handy for external switches like the Hotone Ampero's that have no LED's. And of course it has the red led for the switch on the pedal.

I have no affiliation with AMT, but for anyone interested here's a link to the info for this pedal -
